Trump and the Vampire Squid

The header should have been ‘Taibbi, Thaler and Sunstein’. Just caught up with two Matt Taibbi articles on Trump appointments – Gary Cohn and Jay Clayton. They are important to read and keep in mind. The seeds of disappointment on tackling financialisation have been planted. Both articles are worth reading.

Especially the one on Gary Cohn since it reminds us of what we might have forgotten – as to what Goldman Sachs did and how it was saved. It is getting close to a decade since all these transpired. So, good refresher from Matt Taibbi. Indeed, the number of Goldman Alumni in Trump is troubling at one level but it could also be a clever idea. Second, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
