This article in FT gave me an opportunity to tabulate the Chief Executive compensation in top US banks in 2015:
Citigroup (Michael Corbat) USD16.5mn (up 27%)
JP Morgan (Jamie Dimon) USD27.0mn (up ~ 33.3%)
Bank of America (Brian Moynihan) USD16.0mn (up ~ 25%)
Goldman Sachs (Lloyd Blankfein) USD23.0mn (down ~ 4%)
Morgan Stanley (James Morgan) USD21.0mn (down ~ 7%)
These numbers are still excessive. It will be instructive to compare these with the average non-executive cadre compensation in USD amounts and the trend growth rate over the years for these guys and them.
Tailpiece: Wall Street Journal reported on Friday morning that median CEO pay in about 300 largely publicly listed companies had slid 3.8% in 2015.
